Having showcased his talents at every major arena in the U.S., while touring abroad with the likes of Elton John, James Cleveland & Andy Gibb among others, Derald finally reached his life-long dream of recording his own CD as the lead singer of the group TRUTH INC, recording some of the following: 1) Bring Back the Days 2) Can I Get With You Tonight 3) The Wedding Song 4)Say You Love Me 5) Don’t Leave Me Now and others. Truth INC. was the first R&B group with the newly formed Interscope Records, with Ted Field and Jimmy Iovine. The self-titled CD received rave reviews, which led to his film career, where Derald became the legendary voice of Robert Townsend in the movie “The Five Heartbeats” (We Haven’t Finished Yet).
